Christian Senior Helpers / Meals of Wheels

If you are looking for a way to serve the community and provide social interaction with seniors who my feel isolated, the Christian Senior Helper team is the place to be. Many seniors need help with errands, chores, small handyman tasks and/or transportation to an appointment.

Your passion may be to bring a hot meal to the doorstep of someone in need. First Christian Church Garland provides delivery services for the Meals on Wheels Central Texas organization.

Game Day
Do you enjoy playing games, all kinds of games? At FCCG we believe church should be a place where you can be yourself, have fun, meet new people and make new friends.

Come Join us for Game Day every Tuesday at 11:30 am. Bring a sack lunch, play games, and visit until 3:00 pm. Coffee and tea will be available.




Memory Cafe
Are you a caregiver for someone you love? Many retirees have parents, families, and/or friends that need their assistance. Being a caregiver is a special gift that is both taxing and rewarding. At FCCG we recognize the needs for both the caregiver and the loved one to have a place to go, to be with others with the same challenges. Our Memory Cafe is the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.

No loved one to bring? No problem! There are opportunities to host these monthly meetings.






Ministries
Like all churches, many hands are required to do God's work. At FCCG there is a ministry that is in need of your special help. The choices are many, the work is a challenge, the reward is great.








Music
The music at First Christian Church Garland is an intrigal part of our worship service. If music moves your soul, springs from your mouth, forces your fingers to tap out a beat, our church needs you in our choir. We enjoy guest performers, singers as well as musicians, on many a Sunday morning.

Quilters
Do you long to make quilts and blankets for the smallest of God's humankind? If so, the Quilting Ministry at FCCG will welcome you with open arms. If you don't sew, we will teach you. If you are a master seamstress, we want to learn from you. Help us ensure that the littlest of angels are warm and comforted by our love for them.







Stampers
Maybe your thing is to send cards. Maybe you have always wanted to hang out with people we love to make special cards for family and friends. Maybe you have creative skills longing to break free. Come on in and join the Stampers.
