FCC Garland Youth Programs

We encourage and foster opportunities for children and youth to serve.

Mission Trip
At First Christian Church Garland we support our community by sponsoring an annual Mission Trip for the youth of our church. A Mission Trip might include traveling to a fellow church (in State or out of State) who have identified people in their neighborhood in need of help. Our youth and their sponsors will spend three or four days offering their time and talent for painting, carpentry, and yard work along with youth from other churches on the same mission. Once the work is done, we typically celebrate with each other and the youth in the neighborhood before traveling home, having made some new friends.

Trunk or Treat
Annually the Church sponsors a Trunk or Treat event, usually the week before Halloween. We give out candy, serve hot dogs, chips, drinks, and popcorn; and play a variety of outdoor games for families to come, enjoy the afternoon, and fellowship with us.

Vacation Bible School
Every summer FCCG hosts Vacation Bible School for the youth within our church and also for the youth within our community. We offer fun and creative methods of teaching and learning Christ-like values and relationship-building skills to the young people attending our VBS. It is an opportunity for those who do not normally attend FCCG, to come into the church, get involved, and build relationships with others and with Jesus Christ.

Church Library

A Children's Book drive for the Church Library is an on-going service project to improve the quality of children and young adult books, and offer new and engaging biblical literature readily available to our young people.

Noah's Ark Playground
Supporting the community also includes opening Noah's Ark Playground on Sunday mornings, during parades, Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat events, etc, for children to enjoy through-out the year. Noah's Ark is a fun, safe, and unique place to play that allows children to experience biblical history while playing. Can you tell Noah's story in the right order? Check out the hidden game inside the Ark!
