Rev. Dr. Larry Ross

Interim Minister

The Reverend Doctor Larry Ross is a Michigan native, but has lived in the Dallas area nearly half his life. He graduated from Culver-Stockton College with highest honors and a degree in Psychology and Sociology, then graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters in Theology. He returned to DTS to earn a Doctor of Ministry in Strategic Leadership. 

Dr. Ross has pastored churches in Illinois, Missouri, Michigan and Texas. He served as Area Minister for the North Texas Area of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for 16 years before retiring in 2019. Since then he has served as Interim Minister for First Christian Church United of Lewisville and East Dallas Christian Church. He also served as Interim Co-Regional Minister of the Christian Church in Kansas.

Dr. Ross is married to Judy, and together they enjoy their son, Joe, and daughters Lora Owens and Holly Killman, along with 7 grandchildren: Samantha, Alexis, Theodore, Ava, Ella, Asa and Eli. They have been members of First Christian Church of Garland for nearly 20 years.
