Outreach Ministries
The Outreach Ministry creates and fosters a vision of benevolence within the church and its auxiliary organizations. They enlist support for outreach to the social agencies of the community, the nation, and the world. Local benevolence includes financial support of New Beginnings Center for abused women and their children; Galaxy Center, a counseling agency for troubled youth and families; Good Samaritans which provides a food pantry, clothes and financial assistance for Garland residents and The Angel Food Ministry, a program which provides food at a discounted rate.
The Outreach Ministry also supports, with money and volunteers, our denomination’s campground in Athens, TX. Youth Groups at FCC regularly support outreach with annual mission trips and various service projects throughout the year. Adults make quilts for hospitalized children, donate blood, deliver baskets of food at Thanksgiving and shower families with gifts at Christmas.
